Thank goodness

Started the day half sleep from staying up after work to cook.

Even with a strain here and there I’m most grateful for having a place of my own to cook for my family this holiday.

Family brings me back to my heart and soul.

Happy Thursday everyone

Gentle soul

Watching the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Laughing at all the punch lines. Cracking jokes makes life a little more easier for an Ethel like me. (That’s a lil inside joke) . Some things you just hold inside because the explanation is too long.

Chilling mo chilling is the mood. I’ve already had enough drama for one night. Thank goodness it’s a new morning. Well at least in this central time zone it is.

Wonderful. For things to be laughed off and taken lightly. Hardy har har.

Music plays and the holiday is in full swing. Happy Thanksgiving! I’m so excited. Waiting for the Macy’s parade and eating family soul cuisine. Food made from the soul. With a little love in it.

Thankful for days like this. Happy times with friends and family. Coworkers and our own network of social friends. It’s a time to let things go and the flow of positive energy in.

Feels good to always have a little peace in the world. Today I’ll try to be a little quieter with my spirit and a little more gentle with my approach.

Season to love

The season to give. The giving season.

Holiday spirit is in the air. Don’t you feel it? Okay maybe not allllll of the planet is in a giving mood, but I for one am.

I love this time of the year. It’s like a universal warm fuzzy. Spreading tidings and cheer. A sprinkle of my fairy bust in on tap. I’m passing it out in bundles.

As I start to look for gifts and warm clothing I have come across some charities that are constantly giving back to the communities they serve. It’s a great way to keep paying it forward. Sometimes it’s not the size of the gift but the reasons for the giving.  Giving feels so good that everyone should do it!

This holiday season if you have the means and would like to give to those in need I’ve put some charities down below that are giving back in big ways.

November again

Well well well.

It’s November again. November is the one year mark of me in California. Yay. I suppose.

It’s also the fantastic month of my brother and goddaughter’s birthdays. Both on the same day. One of my day one besties was born today. Quite a few memories with that girl. I laugh inside thinking of the fun me and her had. I’m also celebrating one more very important birthday.

Sentimental I guess.

Grade school taught us that November was a month of peace. Of partaking in family gatherings and meeting new friends. Sharing food, fun, and inspiration.

Being thankful is the theme for November.

I plan to find my thanksgiving. To let differences be different. And allow life become a painting that I hold the paintbrush to.

Here’s to new beginnings. Thankful hearts. Peaceful minds. Accompanied by bright energies and True hearted souls.

The leaves are falling. Love still exists and my thoughts are with the moon.

Be thankful

Today has been wonderful! I’m thankful for that. I been very focused on living in the now. Trying not to romanticize simple interactions. And making sure I don’t make up fantasies in my head and believe them like they’re true.
I’m learning to love me. And enjoy everything that comes my way. Awaken by my sadness I figured it’s time to make a change. I’m sure everything will work out better than I ever could imagine because now I’m imagining the better things in life.
Happy thanksgiving from my family to yours!

Love and light 🌞
